Shortly after, Sir David Tweedie appeared before the European Union's Economic and Financial Affairs Committee, ECOFIN, to provide an update on the IASB's responses to the issues raised by the financial crisis. In particular, the redrafting of IAS 39 is still in full swing. Beyond the GAAP introduces the proposals set out in the exposure draft Classification and Measurement, about which the IASB has now received more than 200 comment letters!
