Corporate & Business Tax Manager

As the Corporate & Business Tax Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new client relationships, with a focus on growing our Tax Advisory Services. You will leverage your tax expertise and business development skills to position Forvis Mazars as a trusted partner, delivering innovative and compliant tax solutions that help clients achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand our tax client portfolio and achieve revenue growth targets.
• Identify prospective clients through market research, networking, referrals, and partnerships, focusing on industries with significant tax advisory needs.
• Conduct initial consultations to understand client requirements and present tailored tax solutions that address complex tax planning, compliance, and risk management
• Collaborate with internal tax teams to prepare and present compelling proposals, ensuring that our service offerings align with client needs.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers, understand their business challenges and demonstrate the value of Forvis Mazars’ tax expertise.
• Stay updated on tax regulations, industry trends, and competitor services to enhance our offerings and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and conversion rates to optimize strategies.
• Contribution to people initiatives, team members coaching, mentoring & guiding seniors and assistants on tax engagements.
• To build close rapport with clients and the relevant authorities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Taxation, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA).
• Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets in a professional services environment.
• Strong tax technical skills – corporate tax specialist
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years at a supervisory level, preferably from a professional services firm environment.
• Deep understanding of Tanzanian Tax Regulations and Compliance requirements.
• Strong drives to excel professionally.
• Demonstrated success in adapting to a work environment of professional staff.
• Team player and able to lead the team to work in a fast-moving and pressing deadline environment.
• Able to provide useful and timely feedback to staff, and keep management informed of progress and issues.
• Driven in meeting client expectations and reliable in delivering results.
• Excellent communication and people  management/development skills.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
