Authorisation and Notification Conditions for Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs) (MiCA) Regulation

The European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 - MiCAR) outlines a harmonised licensing regime for crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) in the EU-wide market. CASP is defined as a legal entity or undertaking whose professional business involves providing one or more crypto-asset services to clients. CASPs are authorized to operate in compliance with Article 59 of MiCAR. Both notification and authorization applications for CASPs are submitted to the National Competent Authorities (NCAs).
