Individuals employed by public or private organizations are often the first to recognize (potential) dysfunctions and irregularities that may arise within these environments. By reporting violations of EU/national law that could negatively impact the societal interest, these individuals become “whistleblowers”, playing a crucial role in exposing and preventing such breaches while protecting social welfare.
