For the second year in a row, Mazars will bring its auditing expertise to the selection process of the awards’ nominees and winners. A long-standing partner of the Africa CEO Forum, Mazars consistently demonstrates its unwavering commitment to supporting the firms, organisations and individuals driving the long-term growth, promoting the regional integration and shaping the future of the continent.

Celebrating the best of African business, the awards will recognise and reward the exceptional achievements of firms and individuals in five categories:

• African Champion of the year
  The African Champion award highlights the role of the private sector in promoting regional integration and celebrates the African company that has expanded the most, notably by increasing its presence in several regions, and that implements a consistent, coherent regional expansion strategy.
• CEO of the year
  The CEO of the Year award recognises the exceptional achievements of an African CEO. Throughout the past year, this person has stood out among their peers as a result of their extraordinary leadership in growing their company’s activities and through a major accomplishment.

• Disruptor of the year
  The Disrupter of the Year award rewards a company, created less than ten years ago, whose activities are particularly disruptive and innovative. Particular attention will be granted to companies who have a positive impact on financial inclusion, access to health care, education, energy, etc.

• Gender Leader of the year
  The Gender Leader award commends the company, active in Africa, that has demonstrated a strong commitment to increase the number of women within its executive bodies (board of directors, top management, etc.), deployed a strategy to promote women leadership and got involved in social initiatives that foster the inclusion of women more generally.

• International Company of the year
  The International Company of the Year award celebrates the international company that had the most remarkable economic and social impact on the African continent over the past year.

Winners will be announced during the Africa CEO Forum awards gala ceremony on 9 March 2020 at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
