Digital Finance: Seminar series by Mazars
Mazars is organising a series of debates to follow up the release of our Digital Finance global report, devised by The Economist Intelligence Unit.
The Africa Banking Forum is the largest event for banking services in North, West & Central Africa gathering more than 300 participants from the Banking sector globally. This year, the forum is hosted for the first time in Dakar and thus highlighting the position of the Senegalese capital as an emerging financial hub.
As last year, this edition will highlight the main challenges the African Banking sector is facing, with a focus on the topics of Convergence and Development of para-banking business, banking services for the SMEs and Technological Structuring.
Kamal Mokdad, managing partner of Mazars in Morocco, will be part of the scientific committee and moderate two panel discussions, one on the financing and access to the banking system for small businesses (day 1) and one on the role the latest technological innovations can play in the African banking sector (day 2).
On day 2, Kamal Mokdad will moderate a panel session dedicated to “Taking advantage of the main technology trends to enhance access to banking services”. With a group of experts, he will discuss how the African banking sector is affected by the recent technological and digital revolution and what strategies banks must implement as to profit from the new trends and achieve a higher penetration rate in Africa.
The main focus of this session will be on the rise of mobile banking services and branch-less banking, cloud applications, big data, and the internationalisation of banking services. It will be an opportunity for key players to present their latest innovations and solutions as well.
We hope that you will be able to join us at this important regional event and thus contribute to the debate on how technology can support the development of the African banking system.
