Szymon Turkowski Partner, Audit and Advisory, Financial Sector

Szymon Turkowski is a Partner in the Audit and Advisory Department for Financial Institutions, where he supervises the work of the following teams: Risk and Quant Advisory, Actuarial and FSA Advisory within FS Department. He holds a master's degree in applied mathematics from the Warsaw University of Technology as well as professional certifications from CFA and PRM. He completed postgraduate studies in commercial company law at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). 

Szymon has many years of experience in carrying out advisory projects, audits and supervision of companies in the financial sector. Prior to joining Mazars in April 2022, he worked for more than 11 years at the Big Four companies, and before that he spent more than 3 years at the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF). 

Szymon specializes in projects in the areas of implementation and validation of quantitative models, implementation and review of the implementation of IFRS accounting standards, implementation and review of the implementation of prudential regulations, and projects in the valuation of financial instruments. In addition, Szymon has wide experience in managing projects of the construction and implementation of risk management systems, rating systems, stress testing programs and the implementation of IT solutions to support the areas indicated. 

His other experience also includes due diligence projects (buy and sell side), feasibility and impact studies.
