Marco Spagnuolo Partner, Audit & Assurance

Marco Spagnuolo is a partner in the Forvis Mazars audit &assurance team and is responsible for corporate reporting & accounting advisory. With almost 20 years of experience, he is passionate about helping clients successfully navigate technical accounting challenges and prepare financial and non-financial reports efficiently, effectively and accurately.

Previously a partner at Deloitte South Africa, Marco has extensive experience working collaboratively with clients to solve complex corporate reporting and technical accounting challenges across various industries.

A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and an affiliate of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), Marco specialises in technical accounting (such as IFRS, FRS and US GAAP), guiding clients through the adoption of new standards, changes to existing ones and the application of accounting requirements to complex transactions such as IPOs, M&A transactions and share-based compensation schemes.

Marco also supports finance teams in leveraging technology to enhance corporate reporting. He has built strong alliances with SaaS solution providers to help clients automate and optimise reporting processes.
