Emmanuel Thierry begins his career with Mazars in Septembre 2002, after graduating from Sciences Po Paris (France) with a master in finance and Strategy and studying at the University of Leipzig (Germany). He is a Commissaire aux Comptes (France) and a Certified Public Accountant (USA).
After 3 years in Mazars Paris’ banking sector, he is being transferred to Mazars in New York where he supports large European corporates in their US expansion through audit of their US operations and various consulting and M&A engagements.
In 2012, Emmanuel transfers to Mazars in Tokyo where he first leads the audit and transaction services activities. He is actively involved in the development and management of the Tokyo office and becomes Managing Partner of the Mazars in Japan in 2017. Within 10 years, Mazars in Japan went from 20 to 200 people and has expanded into new services and grows its capabilities with new clients, included listed companies in Japan.
Back in France in 2022, Emmanuel joins the Sustainability Service Line and develops and monitors the CSRD Task Force at Mazars group level in order to make Mazars ready for the CSRD opportunities in both consulting and auditing. He is also financial audit signing partner for large corporates, in particular in the banking sector. Furthermore, he is partner in charge for various ESG projects for clients, including as NFRD reports audit partner.
Emmanuel has accumulated experience supporting clients from various sectors with a large range of services and has naturally focused on globally ambitious companies and international clients.
