Adam Harris

Adam is a Partner and Licenced Insolvency Practitioner in our London office with over 15 years’ corporate and personal insolvency experience. Adam is authorised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Adam advises various stakeholders, secured and unsecured creditors, directors, and shareholders on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency options. Adam works across most sectors with particular expertise in retail, manufacturing, and construction.

Adam was formerly at a niche London-based, insolvency and litigation specialist and heads up our Contentious Insolvency team. Adam’s team works closely with government bodies such as HMRC and the Information Commissioners Office and several victims of fraud, overturning transactions, bringing various Insolvency and Companies Act claims, selling assets to recover debts, and deliver restitution.

Adam has undertaken many cross-border restructuring and insolvency assignments and maintains a strong network of contacts across the UAE and MENA region.

Recent cases:

Trading administration and sale of a £16m turnover popcorn manufacturer in the UK with 97 staff. Traded from 3 premises and was the main supplier to all major supermarkets and cinema chains which failed as a result of a product recall and intervention by FSA.

Trading administration and sale of £60m turnover international marketing agency with offices in Hong Kong, USA, Russia, and UK.

Liquidator of various property development companies where investigations have identified in excess of £5m of funds has been diverted from the estates.

Trading administration and sale of a satellite communications business and sole provider to the government’s secure communications TETRA network supporting all three blue light services in the UK.

Trustee of individual involved in a tax-avoidance scheme. Identified claims and settled to recover more than £1m for HMRC.
