Mazars receives the APELA eco-advocate award for its supports to MTP
APELA is organized by Asia-Pacific Enterprise Cooperation (AP-EC), a non-profit organisation which aims to promote a sustainable economic cooperation between the countries in the region.
The inaugural launch was held in Singapore with a 3-day programme (12 to 14 March 2013): the AP-EC sustainability summit and the award ceremony.
On 14 March 2013, Mazars received the APELA eco-advocate prize for its support to the Million Tree Project (MTP) of the NGO Shanghai Roots & Shoots.
"We're proud to be recognized as a firm taking action to protect the environment but I'd also like to emphasize the hard work of the NGO Shanghai Roots & Shoots, the leaders of this project. The objective of planting one million trees has been met two years ahead of schedule. Next month, the first of the second million trees will be planted, so there is still time for more companies to get involved."
- Kenneth Morrison, Chairman of Mazars Greater China Board.
