Evádne Bronkhorst Senior Manager - Tax Consulting
Evádne is a Senior Manager: Tax Consulting at Forvis Mazars in South Africa. She provides corporate tax advisory services, and is experienced in direct and indirect taxes. Her areas of specialisation include value-added tax, international tax, mining taxes, and diesel refunds.
Evádne qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. She completed her Master’s Degree in Taxation at the University of Pretoria (RSA) during 2010, for which she was awarded prizes for the best overall performance and the best dissertation. She also obtained Double Master’s Degrees in International Revenue and Customs Law and Administration at the University of Canberra (AUS) during 2015. She received Dean’s List Awards for Academic Excellence for each of her Master’s degrees.
Prior to joining Forvis Mazars in South Africa, she was a Corporate Tax Specialist at Nubis.tax, an Assistant Manager: Audit Technical at Ernst & Young and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Taxation at the University of Pretoria, where she lectured taxation at postgraduate level.
She was instrumental in the establishment of the first accredited postgraduate degree programme for the development of Tax Professionals at the University of Pretoria. She has also assisted the South African Institute of Taxation with a number of projects with respect to the development and refinement of the Tax Professional Qualification.
Evádne is a contributing author to SILKE: South African Income Tax (LexisNexis), and has also co-authored and published articles on tax incentives and tax risk management.
