Mazars appoints Sylvie Matherat global senior advisor to its financial services practice
• She serves as an external advisor to Mazars, developing the firm’s regulatory advisory practice and supporting on key regulatory issues
LONDON, 1 June 2021: Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, announces the appointment of Sylvie Matherat as global senior advisor to its financial services practice. Sylvie is an expert on financial services regulatory matters and was a member of the High Level Forum on the Capital Markets Union at the European Commission.
In the role, Sylvie works as an external advisor, developing Mazars’ regulatory advisory practice and supporting on key regulatory issues, such as climate risk, financial crime and non-performing loans.

Sylvie has previously served as the Chief Regulatory Officer/ Board member of Deutsche Bank, Deputy Director of general operations at Banque de France and Director for policy and international relations at the French Banking Supervisory Authority. She has also chaired the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA). Sylvie is a knight of the French Legion of Honour.
