Juan Luque Gala Partner
Juan Luque has a BA Degree in Economics and Business Administration Sciences at the Universidad Central de Barcelona and a Management Development Program Diploma from IESE. He is a statutory auditor and registered with the ROAC (i.e. Spanish Official Register of Auditors). He is certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and member of the Colegio de Economistas (i.e. Economists Association), ACCID Association (i.e. Accounting and Management Catalan Association ) and Instituto de Auditores Internos de España (i.e. Spanish Internal Auditors Institute).
He joined Mazars in 1989. In 2001 he was appointed partner within the Firm in Spain and in 2004 he became a Mazars International Partner.
He has over 20-year experience in audit and business advice and has led a large range of assignments for companies and multinational groups from several industries, including Finance and Insurance. During his career he has been responsible as partner for a large number of projects in terms of financial audit, due diligence, appraisals and Transaction Services. Specifically since he became an international partner he has partaken in Corporative Governance, Risk Management, Internal Control, Internal Audit and Legal Compliance (GRC) projects.
Throughout his professional career and for over 10 years he has collaborated as a teacher in several financial audit courses at the Col·legi de Censors Jurats de Comptes de Catalunya (i.e. Auditors Professional Bar of Catalonia), the Universidad de Barcelona and in several post-graduate courses delivered in Les Heures (Universitat de Barcelona - Fundació Bosch i Gimpera). He has organized and taken part in a large number of conferences, congresses and seminars specialized in audit and finance and, notably in the last few years, in subjects related to GRC. He is a regular member in the Internal Auditors Institute Experts Forum.
Since 2007, he is the partner responsible for GRC in Spain and a member of the International Consulting Services/GRC International Committee in Mazars Group. At a functional level, since September 2012 he is a member of the International Country Business Unit Leaders-OMB of the Mazars Group, representing Mazars Spain.
