Mazars welcomes 3 new global partners from Japan

During Mazars annual global partners’ conference that took place last week, the entire Mazars worldwide partnership voted to co-op the above partners from Japan as well as a number of other partners in different countries.

Regarding their appointments, Jean-Francois Salzmann, our country managing partner, said: 

1,000+ Mazars global partners join me in congratulating Jurgen Dumont, Masanao Goto and Toshiki Kitao for their appointments as Mazars global partners. This is a recognition of their contribution and an acknowledgment of a great potential for future growth of our dynamic organisation. More importantly, they are decent and trustful people. Mazars being a real internationally integrated partnership, it is crucial all partners embody shared value in the pursuit of a common goal.

3 new global partners are: 

Jurgen Dumont - Outsourcing

Juergen draws on 27 years of varied experience from roles in Professional Services and Management in Germany and Japan. He started his career with providing audit and tax advisory services in Duesseldorf and Tokyo. Before joining Mazars in Japan Juergen provided tax compliance and outsourcing services at a Big 4 tax advisory firm in Tokyo. Due to his experience from working for international organizations at headquarter and subsidiary level, Juergen is destined for assisting foreign-owned companies with operating and growing their businesses in Japan. With his dedicated and proactive approach he adds the value clients can expect to receive. Juergen leads the German Desk at Mazars Japan and acts as Chairman of the German Finance Roundtable at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan. 

Masanao Goto - Audit & assurance

Masanao started his career at Asahi Audit Corporation (currently “KPMG AZSA LLC”). Mainly engaged in auditing of listed companies and referral auditing. In July 2012, he joined Ark Audit Corporation (currently “ARK LLC”) and served as a Partner from July 2014 to August 2019. During his tenure as a Partner, he was involved in the auditing of listed companies as an Executive Partner as well as in the referral audits of Kreston Global network firms. He was also involved in FAS work and advisory services for financial closings at an independent consulting firm. He joined Mazars in July 2021. His main areas of expertise include manufacturing, food & beverage, healthcare business, and trading company. He is also a part-time lecturer at a university. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Japan). 

Toshiki Kitao - Audit & assurance

Prior to joining Mazars, Toshiki was a partner at Big4 audit firm serving number of Japanese public companies. He specializes in the IFRS audits in accordance with the Japanese, AICPA and PCAOB auditing standards. Toshiki has working experiences in auditing and other assurance services for public companies. His experiences in providing advisory services include accounting advisory services, contract compliance services and forensic related services. Clients he has served vary from large Japanese public companies (especially pharma and manufacturing) to small subsidiaries of foreign company. He is also focused on digitalization of accounting and auditing.  He received “Global Executive Certificate of Data Analytics for Decision-Making” from New York University in 2020. Toshiki is a Certified Public Accountant (Japan and U.S.).
