This Privacy Statement is intended to notify you of the manner in which your personal data is processed by Forvis Mazars in Denmark in connection with the recruitment process, including the receipt of unsolicited applications for future job opportunities.

Forvis Mazars in Denmark respects your privacy and complies with applicable data protection law when processing your personal data.

1. Collection of personal data

The legal ground for collecting and processing of your personal data is your consent to such processing as part of applying to an open position or by submitting an unsolicited application. When submitting an application, you decide which personal data to share with us. Thus, Forvis Mazars in Denmark will normally process the following personal data about you as an applicant:

  • Name
  • Email and other contact details
  • Phone
  • Motivation
  • Curriculum vitae.

You should only include information relevant for the review of your application. Consequently, you should not include information about your race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, political opinion, sexual orientation or union membership. Please do not provide your personal identification number (CPR-number) and/or copies of identification papers together with your application, unless we will expressly ask you for this.

2. Purpose of collecting and processing personal data for applicants

Forvis Mazars in Denmark will process and use the applicant’s personal data solely in connection with the selection and recruitment process. That means that the personal data can be used for:

  • Assessing the applicant’s qualifications and skills and comparing the profile of the applicant with the current job offering and any potential vacancies and future job opportunities within Forvis Mazars in Denmark
  • Communicating the recruitment procedure of Forvis Mazars in Denmark to the applicant
  • Contacting (in writing, by telephone or by e-mail) the applicant in connection with the recruitment process.

3. Storage period and deletion

Forvis Mazars in Denmark stores your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to achieve the objectives for which your data is collected. This means that personal data of applicants for a job offering will be kept until the recruitment process is completed, unless hired, after which your data will be transferred to your personal file as an employee of the company. Personal data provided in connection with an unsolicited application will be kept for a period of 6 months from its receipt. Hereinafter the data will be properly deleted from our systems.

4. Sharing of personal data

Forvis Mazars in Denmark will use your personal data internally only in connection with the recruitment process. We will not share your personal information with third parties unless needed for the preparation and issuing of an employment agreement and/or to comply with a legal obligation.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data at any time and to edit, up-date or request deletion of your data prematurely and hence, before we initiate the deletion of your data as set forth under section 3 above. Furthermore, you can also object to the processing of your personal data and withdraw your consent at any time.

All questions regarding privacy and the processing of your data can be directed to career@mazars.dk. Forvis Mazars in Denmark will handle your request as soon as possible and confirm when executed. We might however require that you provide proof of your identification when requesting access to or withdrawal of your personal data. Forvis Mazars in Denmark will provide you a copy of the processed personal data upon request.

If you are not satisfied with how Forvis Mazars in Denmark processes your personal data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority.

6. Security

Forvis Mazars in Denmark takes the protection of your data seriously and takes all appropriate technical and organizational measures required under applicable data protection law to prevent misuse, loss, theft, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes.
