Senior Auditor (External Audit)

We are currently looking for Audit Senior with 5+ years of experience in external audit; preferably from big 10 firms to lead and enhance our operations in UAE.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the financial audits (under minimum supervision) by understanding the clients’ control environment
  • Identify risky areas in the financial statements and adopt efficient audit approach to deal with these risks
  • Request, collect, review and analyse the financial and operational data of the clients
  • Prepare and update the working papers
  • Prepare independent auditor report, representation and management letter and audit committee presentation
  • Understand the group auditors’ instructions and prepare the relevant deliverables
  • Issue group audit instruction and follow up for deliverables from component auditors
  • Communicate effectively with clients on data request, internal control issues and audit findings
  • Prepare individual and combine financial statements
  • Assign and review associates’ task and provide on job training to them

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Associate Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) 

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of international standard on auditing (ISAs) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs)
  • Well familiar with local UAE Laws and free zones’ regulations relevant to financial audit
  • Experience of working under deadlines
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office
