The UAE is removed from FATF grey list
On 23 February 2024, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) announced the removal of United Arab Emirates from its grey list. This is a significant achievement of UAE’s hard work and commitment working with the FATF to resolve, identify and address its deficiencies in its regimes to counter money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing.
This milestone reaffirms UAE’s position as a responsible member of the international community and enhances UAE’s reputation as a safe and reliable destination for attractive investment and financial transactions.
As ongoing commitment and efforts are crucial to ensure sustainability of this success, we are required to maintain robust international AML, counter-terrorist financing (CTF). We believe that it is every firm’s responsibility to enhance the country’s reputation and leadership.
