Electric heavy vehicle grants to drive Singapore’s fleet decarbonisation: experts

Our Partner in Technology, Digital & Sustainability Consulting, Lai Kee Yin, engaged in an interview with the Singapore Business Review sharing that the initiative will create a "win-win" situation financially and environmentally with the reality of heavy vehicles accounting for 22% of all registered good and other vehicles category in 2024.

In the effort of decarbonising Singapore's fleet to pursue cleaner transport, the SG Budget 2025 unveils the Heavy Vehicle Zero Emissions Scheme and Electric Heavy Charger Grant, providing incentives for owners of heavy vehicles to switch to electric models.

Kee Yin shared, "These initiatives aim to defray costs, encourage adoption and provide tangible support to organisations on their decarbonisation journey."
